Being a musician, I know all too well the kinds of things that can affect our ability to focus and what sorts of things distract from our performance. Whether photographing concerts, dance events, or musical theatre performances, I believe that it's of the utmost importance to remain courteous and respectful to the performers, as well as the audience members. My goal is to create amazing photos of the event while minimizing my impact on the audience and performers because there's nothing more distracting than a camera shutter going off during a dramatic pause in the performance.
